Child and Youth Worker
We are currently hiring for Child and Youth Workers for one on one support for our clients in the GTA.
Various shifts available, including; Days, Evenings, Overnights, and Weekends.
A vehicle is mandatory as you may be required to transport clients to and from appointments or activities.
Job Description:
- Provide one on one support to a client in a variety of different settings such as foster homes, family homes, day programs, hospitals, group homes, and community support.
- Provide behavioral management skills to youth and families
- Engage and build rapport with clients and families
- Provide crisis management skills
Qualifications:
- Child and Youth Worker Diploma or equivalent diploma/degree and experience
· Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience and demonstrated knowledge working with children and youth with mental health, behavioral challenges, Autism, FASD, ODD ADHD, and dual diagnosis.
- Experience using strength-based and therapeutic approach
- Experience writing incident reports, serious occurrences, report taking, daily logs.
- Professional, reliable, punctual, self motivated, takes initiative
- Valid CPI/UMAB Training required
- Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate required
- Ability to complete medical screening including TB test
- Valid G License and access to a reliable vehicle
- Valid Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector check required
- Bilingual/Multilingual an asset
